見つけていただきありがとうございます。 テキスタイルデザイナー木下桃子が手がけるオリジナルテキスタイルによるアパレルレーベル「YURTAO（ユルタオ）」のオンラインショップです。 花や草や鳥、雨や風など、自然をモチーフに絵を描き、それを織りや染め、手捺染で表現しています。 鎌倉を拠点に、受注生産をベースとし、必要な人の元へ必要とされる分だけを届けることを心がけつつ、日本の産地で生地を作り、天然素材を基本にした衣服を作っています。 最近は藍染や植物染など、環境負荷が少ない伝統的な染色技法も取り入れたり、インドの手紡ぎ手織りの生地も使用しています。 旅が好きで時々美しい布と自然を求めて僻地に繰り出します。 旅は自分の制作へのモチベーションをあげるもっとも重要な要素です 店舗は無く、秋に新作受注会を鎌倉と東京で開催しています。 春から夏にかけては即売でPOP UPイベントで各地を巡っております。 オンラインショップは期間限定で年に数回開催します。 とても小規模な活動ですが、こだわりの詰まったオリジナルのテキスタイル で作る、日常が少し特別になる洋服を作りたいと思っています。 洋服のサイズや種類などご不明な点がありましたらお気軽にお問い合わせください。 YURTAO is an apparel label created by textile designer Momoko Kinoshita. Inspired by nature — flowers, plants, birds, rain, and wind — she creates original drawings and transforms them into textiles through a variety of techniques including weaving, dyeing, hand-printing, and embroidery. Based in Kamakura, Japan, YURTAO values made-to-order production, creating only what is needed for those who truly seek it. The fabrics are produced in textile regions across Japan, and the garments are primarily made using natural materials. In recent years, the label has also embraced traditional low-impact dyeing techniques such as indigo dyeing and botanical dyeing, while incorporating hand-spun and handwoven fabrics from India. Travel is one of the most important sources of inspiration behind the work. In search of beautiful textiles and nature, journeys often lead to remote places, where landscapes, air, and memories quietly become part of the designs. YURTAO does not operate a permanent store. New collection order exhibitions are held each autumn in Kamakura and Tokyo, while pop-up events take place around Japan from spring through summer. The online shop opens only a few times a year for limited periods. Though the scale of the activity is small, YURTAO hopes to create clothing with carefully crafted original textiles that can make everyday life feel a little more special.
